Hi! Heres a comment from the Critique Club.
First Impression:
Nice leading lines/vanishing point. My eyes follow the lines and then back to the person on the right. Dont see anything candid!
Composition:
Very nice lines. Dark panels in the ceiling really work well with the walls and the rest of the ceiling. The curved walls really add to the perspective. Nice to see the vanishing point off of center. Motion blur works well in setting the mood.
Subject:
Not sure it meets the challenge. Candid implies catching peoples expression when they dont expect it. Cant see any ones expression.
Technical:
You didnt include any processing information so I dont know what your camera settings were or what you were trying to achieve. B&W works well. Focus is a little soft. Some USM may have helped too.
Suggestions:
Camera settings, can usually be found by using your viewer and right clicking, and selecting properties. You may have to make another selection based on your viewer. As long as its an original file, the camera data should be there.
Summary:
Congratulations on your best score. You have a good eye. Keep shooting!

Very cool image -- the movement really adds to it. |

I'm not much for receiving or giving comments, but since Candids are
near and dear to my heart, I have decided to give comment on every entry
in this challenge.
To me this is more of an artsy b/w photo then a candid. A nice scene, some obscured people walking, but no one real thing stands out for me. It's an overall b/w photo with no real candid capture. It's a 2 for me. |

Good perspective, mobility and use of lines, it really guides you in. |

great picture, but nothing that really connects me with people in a storytelling fashion. maybe in an abstract sense, but not in a real sense. |

I had a similar shot a few years back in luminiscent green... Nice for urban life, but does it make a good candid? |

Facial expresions are vital factor for candid. It's missing here. Good photo, but I have to score low for candid. |

I WISH the shot were just a bit sharper; if it had been, I could have given it a perfect "10." |

Reminds me of those posters I look at while smoking... oh, nevermind. Excellent timing. Tripod? Must be. So wonderfully tubular. B&W conversion very well done. Crop and composition excellent. 9 |

Nice but i would add some more contrast and possibly longer exposure for more effect. |

Not sure this will be considered properly 'candid' by most. It has such a strong graphic quality, such geometry, that makes for a fine image, but to me it isn't referenced to a specific 'moment' so much as a location. |
