 The idea was spawned from just experimenting with how the light was refracting through the glass. Since I was getting some blocky patterns I figured I could make one that looked sorta like ice being thrown towards the glass. It would have been better had I been able to show it falling from the top but I was unable to accomplish that.

Setup: I used a stationary flashlight just to the right of the glass to create the refraction. Since the flashlight was really close to the glass I had a problem of overexposure. I fixed the problem by placing my hand behind the glass and by moving my hand a bit I was able to avoid the overexposure and I got a pleasing blurred effect in the glass (wasn't done in PS).

Post: The only thing I did in PS was slightly adjust the hue to a more DPC friendly color (I hope!), bumped up the levels and used noise ninja for some minor noise reduction minor sharpening. That's it.

Wow - somehow missed this. Lovely work. The cool icy blue tones are beautiful with that "shot" of ice. Really nicely done. Worthy of a print for sure.
