Your picture has a nice organic feel to it, brought on, in my opinion, by the frenzy of elements in the background, the doll hair (which echoes the string), the tree, the leaves, and, of course, the weird subject matter.
You may be expecting a critique of the image to mention the depth of field, and the busy background. Somehow, that's not too important to me with this picture; somehow, for me, the picture works. This is not a particularly beautiful picture, nor is it even a particularly well-executed shot from a technical perspective, but I don't think beauty or technical prowess are what's on display here. Perhaps you're trying to be clever, or to illicit a certain gut reaction, or maybe you just saw this doll hanging in the tree all on its own, and you took a snapshot. It's really hard to tell. That's good.
I enjoy the composition, the way the lines in the doll and the tree on which it rests intersect with the harsher, angular lines of the stairs and rail. The large, bauble-like head weights the picture toward the top of the frame, and there's a dizzy feeling to the effect. The large sphere of the head is a nice break from all the stuff going on in the background, and draws attention immediately, while still allowing the eye to rove over the rest of the complex elements.
In the end, though, we have no choice but to really dissect the merits of the shot overall. The face is poorly lit, and renders the main subject flat and ultimately uninteresting. Curves and brightness/contrast are needed here. For someone like me, although yes, the background works, in reality, it's just too busy. I have no idea what your PowerShot is capable of, but we need a more shallow depth of field. This would retain the strength of the composition, and still give us a hint of the jumbled mess behind. More post would improve the detail of the hair and string. Emphasizing that relationship would really have an impact, in my opinion. The large dark patch behind the stairs detracts, as does the bright thing at lower left.
So, a good shot, but also a poor shot in some respects. Knowing your other photographs, I somehow believe you probably know this yourself. I still say, well done, and congrats!
