Compositionally I think this could be improved (I'm not a big fan of dividing the image in two..) The subject is nice though, and definitely applicable to this challenge.

I like it, it's point of view, but first i thought it was a sigarette in the middle of the photo :)

You know this is out of your control but I think I would like this better if the pole wasn't in the middle of the shot, seems to ruin the perspective of the staircase.
