 Magnolia bud just transforming from bud to blossom

Cropped, adjusted levels, saturation, contrast, and brightness. Burned some of the bright background, cloned out a small part of another bud.

Thanks for all who took the time to vote and especially to comment. It feels good to have a high placed shot -- I haven't had the time needed to put into a photo in some time (not that I have it now lol). Mary and Cher -- big thanks for selecting it as a favorite.

I cannot get enough of those magnolias :)

So THIS was yours...I've been wondering. Now I just have to laugh since we both mentioned that each others were "one of our favorites of the challenge." I guess we both have good taste. :-)

8 - Nice. Like to see more texture detail in the petals as well (and even more in the sepals etc), but difficult I realize. Nice colors and composition.

Beautiful textures, color, and composition. The pink really stands out against the otherwise dull and monotonic color. Nice bokeh as well. One of my favorites of the challenge.
