Very nice and personal. Let me say I also agree with gruvin. As for the technical aspects, the lighting seems too strong on your side which pulls my eyes that way because of it. Maybe reduce that effect slightly in photoshop. I like the composition in general but the frame edges especially around your head feels a bit uncomfortable. I think this might be a good image to add a slight vignette to soften the parts that leave the frame. Also, that fabric that is in the background I would think about removing in photoshop. To me it's not hurting or helping but just there. If it was more apart of the scene and had purpose I would say leave it there.
These are just some suggestions. I really like your work. You have an uncanny ability to capture your subjects very well without the look of artificiality. |

Sensual? Hmmm. Personally I would have said "sincere". "See the real person here." -- in an air of masked frustration, almost distrust of a viewer seeing the true being behind the skin and eyes. No, much deeper than sensual -- perhaps "soulful" or "sentient". This photo is all about the communication in the face to me. It's so "human" as human should be. Beautiful. |
