Challenge: Abstract Macro (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Nikon D70
Location: My dorm room
Date: Mar 27, 2006
Aperture: f/32
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1.5"
Galleries: Macro
Date Uploaded: Mar 27, 2006

My first picture submitted here, hope it goes over well.

All I did was adjust levels, curves, and resize.

Had a stamp book laid out with a bright desk light right near it, and my camera with macro lens held above it with tripod, and used remote release to reduce vibrations.

Don't give up Justin, its a matter of getting used to what you can and can't do!

Although a close up, it fails to meet the notion of an unrecognizable abstract for me. Also the image is very small. Try to use the full dimensions available to you.

Not sure if you know how to resize photos. Take your photos at the largest size your camera supports. In Photoshop, go to "Image Size" and make sure "Constrain Proportions" is checked, then change the longest side to 640 pixels. Then go to "Save for Web" and "Optimize to File Size" and enter 150K. Save and you're all set.

not abstract.

Nice photo and it is indeed small but it is not abstract. Sorry.

Sorry but I don't believe this is Macro or Abstract within the confines of the theme.

Good macro but I don't think it is an abstract. It's also too small to properly judge.

Great placement of the stamp edge.
