 1) Placed my water bottle from the fridge out on my kitchen table, added feature was the condensation on the outside of the bottle where the water level was.
2) Used an old blue folder with a small cross hatch design to make the Red of the bottle more vivid.
3) Used a party sparkler as an added light source from the left of the subject.
4) 5 second exposure (ISO 400) with macro zoom (no flash) on the bottles lid design. Also capture spark trails from the sparkler.

NOTE:

With this challenge I was going for a new years party type effect and hoping the bottle design and zoom location make the viewer look twice before relising what the real subject entails. However, I think my title of the image will give it away instantly and may effect the overall score.

I bet you're the bastard that congratulated my wife on beating me to 'Master' status!

I'm in two minds about how to score this one; looks like a flashed image with a little bit of blow-out on the bottle lid but I do really like the condensation on the bottle. Then you made that dog comment regarding possible acronyms for my username but I do like the added effect of the sparkler and how it completes the 'part-time' feel of the image.....10!

What a clever idea. Good composition and colour, but I really don't like the background on this.

A really good shot, nice colors. I think the background could have been out of focus, the texture steals the attention.
