 Bleh. Ran out of energy taking this one. I realized I would have to switch the color of the "scale" to blue or possibly green in order to make this picture look right.

It was kinda neat. I'm disappointed that I accidentally got a bit of my hand clipped off. That's the tripod that held my "scale", covered with a dark shirt. It kinda ruins the illusion too.

The light source was a single Fluorescent table lamp at my feet.

Processing Details:
- rotate arbitrary to make the scale level
- curves to get rid of my PDA's screen's overage of backlighting
- hue: desaturate yellows to get rid of the color of my sign (I also desaturated everything else that didn't affect the red numbers)
- contrast +9
- Neat Image
- tweaked the colors a bit, with hue - lightness in the yellows to remove a little of the mottling in my face
- Gave up
- decided "what the heck, can't learn if you don't try"
- resized and save for web.

Perilous problems in my picture:

I couldn't get a strong enough light. If I could have used a stronger light, I would have increased the ambient light and this would have allowed me to take the shot with a faster shutter speed. I also would have been able to compose the shot a bit better.

This pic was treated as low-light by the camera and it's loaded with noise, as well as crappy color rendering.

Basically, everything fell apart because my light sucks and I got tired of mucking about for an hour and a half by myself to get a picture that kinda blows.

I expect a 4.00 or less.

Corny title aside, this shot is too dark, needs more highlights.
