The hands signing BC folded these origami models of King Kong and Godzilla, and are casting a shadow of the sign of the cross. 4004 BC is the date for the creation suggested by James Ussher in the 17th century. Many people might miss Christ in both BC and the cross, but I like the idea anyway, especially since King Kong and Godzilla make the kid in me smile.
It was a challenge to trigger the shutter on timer, grab the models, try to get everything into position and focus, and to hold steady, especially as fatigue set in after many shots. Wish I had more sharpness/DOF for King Kong, but other exposures were worse, including too much noise at higher ISO - unfortunately one of my halogen lamps burned out at the beginning of the shoot, and had to make due with an incandescent. The C isn't quite proper sign language, but I hope that it is close enough as I had to hold the model somehow, and the index finger casts a cleaner shadow by itself.
