I can't believe it's the first time I've seen this wonderful shot. I just can't find the time to vote on all the entries any more and somehow I always seem to miss the best. I'm really surprised it didn't score higher. |

I didn't even realize I had voted on this photo while I was reading the description. I rated it a 10. I love your story. I am feeling drawn to photography with meaning. Not just 'technically' superior photos. True emotion is something of a rarity in our rich and fake culture. Thank you for the inspiration. |

Fabulous shot.
The only change I would make is to remove/replace the black border entirely. With this shot, the black border causes the image to bleed into the border area, which doesn't do the shot so much justice.
A white border or no border would be best for this image. |

This is the quintessential low-key image. Very powerful. I don't like the graininess on the lower left but it probably fits the image well in the eyes of most voters. Because it is such a good picture and that it is such a classic low-key type image it should place very high. |

Great image. But in this challenge, I was looking for a dark image highlights that bring out the focal points. It is a great photo though. |

A great expression, well seen and captured. Pity about the depth of field. |

Awesome B&W, the shadows and how dark you decided the greys to be is perfect, makes it a very strong B&W, so far the best of the bunch to me |
