 Shot with a Hoya r72 infrared filter. This shot is of a dried up marsh and was actually shot in the middle of the day. It was cloudy but the clouds were really in no way ominous.

processing included:

swap red and blue chanels
Levels
Healing brush to get rid of a small hot spot in the sky
crop to get rid of some distracting grass in the forground
Hue/ saturation adjustments to desaturate out the red and change the blue tone away from a more cyan color
used to duplicate layers with blending modes altered:
one for the sky set to multiply and one for the grouned set to overlay
resized
unsharp mask applied

love the cool color tones the sharpness, and focus of this. really a nice exposure. looks about .25 tilted down to the right. but still great shot. would love to see (if you did did any) virts of this in your portfolio after the challenge.

Very dramatic, a nice heavy effect.. would love to see the camera closer to the cracks (or a narrower angle?) to see how that would look.
