Purgatory-Traditionally thought of as a middle state between heaven and hell where souls of those who have died in a state of grace undergo limited torment to expiate their sins.

post processing- adjusted light/exposure some in RAWshooter Ess, converted to jpeg, crop, adjusted levels, unsharp mask, desaturated some, and resize.... no dodge/burn or filters.

i know this isnt worthy of a ribbon but ive been wanting to do something like this for a while and i missed the afterlife challenge.

*post-voting edit- this actually did a lot better than i thought it would. i only wish people would stop trying to guess who did which picture during voting; i've seen several other entries where people said it looked like "joeys". even the 4th place person in this challenge. dont get me wrong, his stuff is awesome...but-

I'd suspect Joey Lawrence - and if isn't, take that as a compliment! Nice exposure, composition, and post processing.

What a great place to shoot !! Like that the face is missing and that the hand on the banister isn't moving, very cool. Top Ten !!

Very cool. I love how the head disappears into the light. What a creepy house, but I'm glad you went there to get this photo. The colors are dingy and great.

This is a good idea but it doesn't quite work for me. His head has been lost. That might be part of your point, but to me, he doesn't seem to be a person without a head.

Great use of the theme, and nicely done.. some might dislike the blowout through the door, but it adds to the effect.
