I like how the moving hand add dynamism to the stoic eyes of this man. A very good expressive photograph. In contrast to another commenter, I don't like the wall and would loved if it was blurred. The hat and the clothes give me the information I need to know about the environment of this person, so I don't need to wall, which I find redundant.
What I don't like is the desaturated colours: I wish there were more colour or none at all.
Anyhow, a very good photo. |

This is a great shot.
I think it probably didn't do so well in the Hands challenge because the hands aren't really emphasised. Maybe a lower angle from just underneath the hands, with less of the face in focus, so that the hands are given more importance, would have been better for this challenge.
But outside of the challenge it is a really nice photograph. Very expressive. In a portrait challenge it probably would have done very well.

| Beautiful piece of artwork you have here! The hands moving is compensated for by the tack sharp focus on the man's face. The stone wall adds depth and texture to the photo - good job all the way around! |
