 This is the way the actual photo turned out, the perception of the bird standing on the grass is accidental, but to us, convincing!! LOL

Fun with DOF! You should see what a LensBaby would do to your monster seagull! LOL. Aside, your freeze of movement is excellent in this shot. Great capture, great expression on the bird and great lighting to bring out detail on the body. Good job, nice capture!
