 Nothing like a margarita to inspire. Did this with a Mini Mag Light and a laser pointer, used the channel mixer to convert the red to green. Here's hoping it places well. If not, I'll be mixing up another one! ;)

Just popped in here and saw this shot. I like it! Nice colors and you're right, nothing like a good margarita to inspire just about anything. :)

Thank you all for your comments and votes!!I'm thrilled, it's my best score yet. 29th place is awesome! I really enjoyed shooting this one and had a lot of fun with it.

For those who were wondering, or maybe didn't understand, this is a reference to Jimmy Buffett's song "Margaritaville" The final bit goes, "Blew out my flip-flop, stepped on a pop-top, cut my heel and had to cruise on back home. But there's booze in the blender, soon it will render, that frozen concoction that helps me hang on. Wastin' away again in Margaritaville, lookin' for my lost shaker of salt..."

So there you go, that's what inspired me. :D

Cool lighting but I have a serious problem figuring out what the composition is all about.
Could do without the yellow border too.

I once had a bird named Buffet. But it was pronounced buff-ay. I suppose that is because he cooked so well.

Ha - love the shout-out to Jimmy Buffet! I see you included some of the lyrics in there, too! Super job and very original! Hope it doesn't fly over the younger folks' heads...I'll try to balance that possible problem out for you with this 10. ;)

Great colouring, interesting composition. Love the purple vs lemon colours. The light source looks to be stationary rather than a moving one?

nice setup, but the glass is tilted and there is no need for the shoes. and what is that blue string comin out of the glass?
