This is Bubbles. She's laying in HER chair, which is by the window for her to lay in the sun. I saw her face and it was one of pure comfort for her.

Only cropped, and sharpened.

Thanks for all that voted and commented. This picture is really a work in progress as I treat all my raw files as Ansel Adams did his negatives. He considered the negative the score, and the print as the performance. This image here was the first performance. I've since gone back and re-cropped and lightened it. You can check out the current "performance" at my web page.

The full image is better than the thumb. You've captured a cat in total ecstasy. Good tonal range. I'd prefer a less centered composition.

one of the best, in my opinion. your lighting is so flattering to the cat's fur. and i feel so cozy just looking at its position :) 10!

very nice subject, i was begining to wonder if I would see any cats actually sleeping, which to me signals more comfort. Ok, i like the cat, the light glinting off the tousled fur is great. i dont like the satin part of the blanket or the fabric (couch?) on the left. They detract from your interesting subject, i was thinking a closer crop but you would have to cut out too much of the cat.

Comfort: A state of being relaxed and feeling no pain
I think this picture is communicating that particular impression perfectly.
