 My lab is not a huge fan of the felines but he does make exceptions even though it might seem "odd". I utilized sharpen, crop, b&w and highlights to get this photo presentable. If was difficult to catch them at the same time as they are both active pets.

Greetings from the Critique Club...

This photo meets the challenge, but as a photo, it doesn't go much beyond that. I don't believe that the image itself has any relative impact in composition, technique, or emotive value to transcend the fundamental snapshot variety of photographs. Black and white may not have been a good choice for this image either. The tonality of the subjects and their environment is rather flat. From your settings, it also appears that you were probably hand holding a very slow shutter speed, which contributed to the lack of sharpness in the photo.

Negotiated peace... but the look on the cats face is saying "I'm still watching you!" This one needs rotated counterclockwise, but I can see where you'd end up cropping off part of the cat if you did that.

The focus seems a bit soft, or maybe it is movement in the dogs head.

Nice shot and title, could have been better if the focus was sharper, clearer on the dog and perhaps the dog was looking up a little more or at least displaying one of it's eyes.

Points for having an "odd couple" of sorts, but I'm afraid this photo just looks like a hastily taken snapshot. I'm sure a little time, patience and effort would have made this look much better.
