 Editing: Crop, levels, remove color, make into brown and black duotone, levels, curves, contrast, resize, smart sharpen.

It was really windy when I took this dunes picture. I like the way you can see the sand flying off the edges of the dunes. There is a sensor dust speck in the photo - wish I could get rid of it but it will have to stay because of basic editing.

This is the first time I've done a duotone. I purchased Photoshop CS2 several months ago and finally put it on the computer today so I could do a duotone. It is the first time I used curves, too.

Elements seems easier than Photoshop - I like having the back and forth buttons on the options bar.

The duotone conversion in this shot really shows off the excellent lighting and textures of this dramatic subject. Excellent image for this challenge.
