 Every big city has their pigeons. They're everywhere. Usually scrounging for food, or pooping on the architecture... this one lives in Toronto.

Beautiful sunny day with this gorgeous blue sky at 3pm, -13c with a wind chill factor -20c.

I really like this composition, but I got a stiff neck waiting for just one bird to fly between buildings.

WHOA! For a second there I thought that was a person in the top of the shot! EEK!! :)

I can see why your neck would hurt, mine does and I'm not even standing there with you, you created a great shot that makes me feel like I'm standing there with you, waiting. Wonderful.

The shadows and tones are well done in this shot, the framing of the buildings, also well done. So you are probably asking, "Why did it only get a 5.576 then?"

Well, hard to say, to get into the minds of the voters is very hard indeed. I'm guessing the slightly off kilter of the top of the building on the left is part of the reason, if you had rotated just a bit so it was straight up and down might make a world of difference in this shot. If you do rotate and crop just a little differently I would love to see the result. I'm betting it will make a world of difference.

I appreciate your opinion. My original title was "Soaring High". Perhaps I should have used that instead. Is there a way I can change it. I am new to DPC?

That bird really adds depth and scale to the shot as well as the lines that lead the eyes upward. Nice photo. Bumping up.

Good Shot! You need to get a Sony 717 or 828. Lens swivels and you won't hurt your neck!

I love the shot with the clouds and shadows on the buildings. However, the bird(?) ruins the picture for me.

when this 1st came up i was startled i though the bird was someone jumping. (terrible though i know)Now after looking at it i really like it. I like the way the 2nd building frames the shot

Yikes - at first it looked like a person jumping. I would have straightened based on the side of the building top left.
