I adore the simplistic beauty of this image. It has quite a few layers that connect with the viewer far beyond the application to the challenge subject. I think the use of black & white as the main color scheme and bringing the bracelets into higher focus with the selective coloring was the perfect move. Lighting is excellent, focus is dead on, very emotive, very nostalgic, yet still can represent any time. Well done. I gave a 10 and a favorite. |

I'm not sure this is the eighties. I grew up and graduated high school and college in the eighties. I could swear these weren't popular until the nineties. Great photo though and I'll score on the quality. 8 |

Friendship bracelets pre-date the 80's. This particular type began in the 70's (macrame craze) although I don't know how many folks will make that distinction. Not a fan of selective desat but this isn't bad. DNMC, IMO, for aformenetioned reason, however. I just don't associate these with the 80's. |

OH YES! I forgot about those. And you couldn't take them off till they broke off. I love this. Thanks for the memories. (totally wrong fingernails though - not the French with the squared ends - but darker tones done in oval) 8 |
