Hi Bear :)
First of all I want to congratulate you on a fine photo.
I really like your post processing here.
I understand that you knew Ansel, so I can understand your feelings about this.
But without your explanation, the real meaning doest âslap you in the faceâ as most DPC-ers want.
So I think thatâs the reason why it scored only 50%.
Also remember that Ansel was/is very famous in the USA, but here in Europe he is not that known.
Nonetheless I like the image and the postprocessing an hope to see many more of you.
Keep on shooting,
Peter

Too bad voters didn't have the benefit of your details so they could realize this for your personal take on the 80's. As always, well composed with the added human interest factor. The colors are even muted which goes along with the theme of your picture. |

Ahh, I love your processing on this Robert!
How weird is that, I'm in two challenge photos in the same week; will never happen again! |

nice composition. since it was a momentous event, I would have liked to see a bit more contrast to add to the drama and showcase that hole in the clouds. |

Nice image, think most will have a problem linking this to the challenge. I like the dunes and the tiny portion of sea on the left |

I think if this was in b&w it would be more effective |

A bit of a stretch for me as far as topic goes, a nice image though. |

while it's a great shot, it doesn't depict the spirit of the challenge...in another challenge - an appropriate one, I would give this a 9 |
