I was in DC for business, finished about 5 pm on Thursday, raced to the metro, then downtown. Nearly froze to death! Many thanks to the National Park Service who've built a lovely restroom facility with hand dryers - woo hoo! Found my fingers, resumed shooting. This was my first serious attempt at "night photography". Despite the cold, had a great time and got a few good (by my standards!) shots in the process.

PP - converted to grayscale, tweaked exposure gamma and offset, brightness and contrast, resize, USM, border.

I think you've taken a really good image of statues - the foreground one looks almost real. I wonder how this would look if you cropped our the statue on the right. I find the two on the left hold my interest so much more. Well done.

Great composition and lighting of the soldier statue in the front.

What a strong photo to convey fortitude. This is wonderful! The lighting is gorgeous. Definitely one of my favorites in this challenge!!

i think it needs to have the right-hand side cropped a bit tighter, the darkness isn't adding much on that side. otherwise, i like the lighting, but a tighter crop on the middle soldier would bring more detail out of his face.
