i didn't give the challenge much thought as I have been very busy. However, I have noticed the weight my camera of choice has put on recently .... so why not.

I like the title. Technically I think that this photo sould have been much better. I would have like to see all of the camera, not cropped off on the bottom. I would also like a bit more DOF... the lens is too blurry for me. The straight on lighting is a bit harsh IMO as well.

Composition is off - too centred and part of the camera cut out of the picture. Try to use the rule of thirds in your composition and don't cut off crucial elements of your subject.

Duh.

An interesting shot...but I think this composition would've been better served by putting the Canon in front of a mirror and setting the timer to have it snap a picture of itself, with a smaller aperture setting to get more of the camera in focus.

No envy for the picture, though. Poor lighting (glare on pentaprism), needs more DOF so writing on lens is in focus. Annoying background.

Background a bit messy - main canon name suffering from too much highlight (this seems to be the main focus of the shot) and not a terribly inspiring photo I'm afraid.

Yep, invokes Envy in me. Maybe one day, this will change to pride. Very clever.

I really don't think this has photographed well ... the flare where the word canon is ... the straight on ... not a good choice for DOF as it just looks out of focus.

next time, don´t usa flash if you can´t control it.

(shame it wasnt isolated!)

The lighting is a little washed out. The focus of the shot appears to be immediately on the glare.

I can understand the envy, but I do not like the crop, the light and the DOF is too low.

I guess it is greedy to own a Canon Eos when the cost of one could feed a family in Africa for a year or two, but I don't really think this picture displays sin.

I think it might have been nicer to have a little more of the lens in focus, and maybe a less busy background as it detracts a little from the subject.

got that right i envy you!
