Shot in Central Park.
There was an entire bouquet of roses thrown into the icy pond.
I focused in on this indivdual rose as it kept its beauty while being laying in horrible conditions.

Very nice details on the rose, and moving water!

Good composition, but the triangle shadow on the left is a little bit distracting.

Nice image and entry for fortitude. Maybe a bit too much negative space on the left, but still a good photo.

"strength of mind that enables one to endure adversity with courage"
Not sure a rose has strength of mind, but there could be more to the story. I don't care for the shadow on the left, though.

Made me look and made me stare, made me wonder why's that there!
Good novel idea for challenge 7

too much "dirt" frozen into the ice is distracting. shadow going along bottom left corner is also distracting. colours are a bit muted, perhaps add some saturation.

The shadow unbalances this which is a pity because I think it is really strong
