The shadow nearly obliterates the right edge of the book - a bit of lighting on that side would enhance the picture. |

I like the simplicity of your composition. For me, I sometimes find that three elements work better than two. The eyes tend to look at images in a triangular manner - usually starting at the upper left, then down towards the middle or bottom, and then back up to the right. Fits the challenge nicely. |

The candlelight is overexposed and Bible has a harsh shadow. Otherwise the idea is nice, try some other compositions, angles to enhance the interest for your photo. |

your carpet is funny looking. :)
interesting idea, but the shadows on the bible are a bit dark, and the carpet pattern is distracting |
