Couldn't make the SF GTG, so went for a nearby spin.
This actually used to be a well-known landmark for Milk Farm Restaurant, back in the day when it was mostly farmland. Now, only this part remains next to a busy freeway. (I still like the 1950's feel to it. )

Scored about right. I'm happy with it. Thanks for voting! :)

::: Critique Club :::

Hi, my name is Kari and I am from the critique club.

First Impression - the most important one:
Left field is a good place to come from. I really like it.

Composition:
Bascially it hits thirds, not as well as it could, but it does and that is good, The background is awesome and shows it off well, I bet you were glad it wasn't cloudy.

Subject:
It meets the challenge, most of your commentators said this, and I agree, out of the box, and well done for this in particular. May have been a stretch for some people to see this, going by your scores quite a few did though.

Technical (Colour, focus, and light):
Hard to improve on perfection of nature sometimes ... I think that it is clear ... someone mentioned noise .. I can't see that this affected your score greatly and they may have been on top of the screen cos I can't see it affecting that much ...

To grow its vote?:
Hard to say ... find a farm and take a picture of a cow ... this was a difficult challenge for a lot of people, they don't live near whst most define as country so they have to work at what it means to them. It is not your highest scoring, but is a solid shot. What seems to have worked for this challenge in the higher scores is moody type lighting (natural but moody) ... and not too manmade.

Summary:
You did a good shot, you took your time and this worked. It is hard when not all can understand a shot, but hey it was well done.

If you have any comments on the criquite feel free to message me.

Cheers

Kari

It's different, like the choice and composition. Could do with some noise reduction.
