I can't belive I did this well. I'm learning a lot here at DPC. After submitting I discovered the rule of thirds and did a much better job of cropping. Also ventured into Photoshop and used Auto Levels, contrast and color. This improved the shot very much. Thanks for all the advice. Link

As much as I like the sharpness of the truck here,I do not see the motion panning. I see shallow DOF but it looks more like a selective blur was added not that the image was taken while panning. Maybe it is just my mon.

I like how sharp the truck is though.

the black spot on the lower right corner should be cropped out.

Great subject and capture. Good tracking and subject sharpness. Panning is a little subtle though given how fast the subject must be moving. Could have captured a longer blur. Great shot.

It looks like a toy! Nice job of panning.

Nice capture. Slower shutter speed would give more motion panning blur to clearly demonstrate that you met the challenge. Crop out lower right corner would be better even with loss of other parts of the image, and not exactly centered would be OK and better.

I started at the beginning of the challenge entries and when I arrived at this photo I thought ... good focus, great action, excellent technique. A couple of things brought it down for me, though ...

1. the dark object in the bottom right corner looks like it might have been the top of someone's head; I suppose cropping this out would have reduced the impact of the cars being jumped.

2. there appears to be a distinctive blue cast to the image. Having looked at the other entries I don't think it's my monitor, but wouldn't swear to it.
