This is a really cute shot, very well-done, and in any other challenge would do far better than I imagine it's doing here, because everything is (relatively) sharp. For a motion panning shot you need a slowish shutter speed, so that as you track the moving subject, the background and other stationary objects will blur. But wow, what a good-looking penguin picture. |

Great shot the bubbles are excellent in showing the movement of this piece. |

I really like the concept of this photo and the penguin is very sharp. I might have cropped out the water line so the entire back ground was blue. Nice job 8 |

The composition would have been better if the top edge of the water was cropped out. And although this seems to be a terrific pan, because the subject is not blurred whatsoever, the background does not have enough contrast or detail to really portray that this was panned. The only evidence are the bubbles the penguin left behind. I think this shot would have been much better, again, with cropping. Bringing the penguin to the very edge of the left, in order to show off the motion blurred bubbles more. still a 7 though |

i find the top of the frame a bit distracting, other than that it's pretty cool. |

Wonderful penguin shot. However this image doesn't show evidence of motion panning effect, which would be better to fit the challenge. Try a slower shutter speed. I still love the image. |

2 bonus points for the subject matter... do like images of our monochromatic friends :) |

Subject has great sharpness, but the background does not convey the "motion" of the shot. Only the bubbles indicate this. |

This is an amazing picture. I am a little surprised at the colour of the penguin and would have been tempted to crop out the white "thing" at the top. But full marks for technique. |

A great picture! But as the water surface is sharp, it does not really look like panning. |

not motion panning. needs motion blur to seperate subject. |
