This is a shot of map tacks arranged in round patterns and punched through a piece of regular 8.5 inch x 11 inch copy paper.

I rolled it up into a cone shape to give it a little better perception of depth.... Making it a little more tunnel-like. I held the small end of the cone up to a light so that end would overexpose... Both to blur out the tacks and the opening at the end, and to help mask the seem of the paper running along the left edge of the photo. I shot down into the cone from the large end.

This was my first entry here... Tough crowd!! :) I learned a lot though, had fun, and look forward to future challenges!

Unique--I like the sense of motion implied but not shown.

Interesting. I really like this shot. What a cool idea. How did you do it? You've definitely hit the nail on the head with the subject choice for this challenge....it's roundness within roundness. Can't get much clearer than that!! The only two things stopping me from giving it a perfect 10 is that the balls at the top have been cropped out a little too much (would have liked to have seen all 7) and the balls closer to the light aren't in focus. A (9) from me anyway. Good luck.

If this is something functional I've got no idea what it could be...very nice abstract nonetheless. The lighting is perfect. Might have converted to black and white, myself...

I have no idea what this is but it is so intriging and dynamic, I like it a lot

nice idea, but i would like to see the balls at the bottom and on the right side a bit more sharp and the one in the upper left and lower right corner more blurry
but still curious how you got the balls in this positions?
