I wanted to thank everyone for their great comments. As for how many tries it took...I'd say probably about 50. So if it weren't for my obsessive compulsive dog I'd never have been able to get this shot. I'm happily suprised at how well this did. Thanks again.

Bad luck on not getting a ribbon, but congrats on the top 10 finish!

I think this was one of the most difficult images to capture from the entire challenge.

Remarkably well done. The form and frozen motion are great. Could use a little more saturation, but I still have this pegged for blue or red. Good luck! 10

I love the motion in this photograph. If only the frisbee was 6 or 8 inches higher to get a clear view of his face. Bump to 9

You probably couldn`t have chosen a more difficult subject to try capturing the blur of motion panning as you also have to try to stop action (unlike birds gliding etc).
Essential that your shutterspeed is just right and you`ve achieved that well here.
Good work.

Excellent motion. I love his sense of flying! I'd play with saturation and contrast. Maybe adjust levels to really richen up the tones.

Don't like too much the colors. But the composition is very cool.
