 214mm focal length on macro lens + reversed 50mm lens = focal distance of .5-3cm, DOF of less than 1mm

this is a very small part of a dead leaf.

much use of photoshop&neatimage (& the clone/heal tools) for colorizing&smoothing them gradients.

Very nice colors and textures and shapes. I have absolutely no clue what I'm looking at ... for once that's a plus in a DPC challenge :) Only thing I find slightly distracting is the OOF lower left corner. Wonder if a different crop would've improved that, or if you would've been able to take the shot with greater DOF.
