I think I would have been tempted to crop more off the top of the photo. (The title did have me worried before I saw the image itself!)

Yikes! I hope the poor crab was dead! Nice use of B&W and contrast! The water (is it water?) looks almost... unreal, but I don't mind the effect as much as I thought I would.

Great to come across this after a bunch of mundane shots. If it wasn't for the slightly blown highlights I would give this a 10. Great composition and looks great in b+w.
