I don`t mind being beaten by a shot of this calibre..in fact it`s quite an honour to be sandwiched between Sher & J.J. (in a photographic context of course.)

In reality, I don`t think I should have finished anywhere near this shot..it`s an absolute beaut, should have been top 5 IMO.

Sheesh this is pretty Sher. The lighting on the petals is so even, and the detail is perfect.

Terrific clarity, and the shade of blue is really appealing. Off- centred composition perhaps may have improved it a bit. I can't make up my mind about the background - one minute it seems totally appropriate and right, the next out of context for a flower. One of my top ten scores in this challenge anyhow - good luck.

I really like this image, but can't quite define why. The lighting is spot-on, and i like the contrast of what i imagine as silky soft petals against the harshness of the wood. Definitely an emotional impact for me.

Very nice! I like the richness of the colors in this. The background is soft and neutral and keeps all the attention all on the subject. The bright green in the stem is just perfect to show a normal color balance and offers a leadline to the flower. Excellent composition.
