So, I don't know, it's just this idea I had. I think maybe I've succumbed to just having to have something in the free study :-( Actually, I do like the concept, but not totally happy with the results. I havn't really come up with anything this month that I was real pleased with. Havn't really had the chance to get out and do much shooting. So I had this idea bouncing around in my brain, and thought I'd have a couple of days to work on it before the end of the month, and then my work schedule changed, and I had to work all of a sudden on monday and tuesday. I was thinking, bummer, I won't get anything in free study. Then I got home from work last night, felt motivated, so off I went. I thought the hat would work good, but in the end I think no hat would be better, but definitely no time to redo it, unless I want to work tonight with no sleep. That just won't do this time.

Actually, it is my wife's fault! You see, after shooting, and editing and everything, I was looking at the photo, and figuring I should just forget about submitting it, when Sheila got up this morning, took a look at what I was working on and started laughing so loud and hard it woke up Tucker Rose. So that did it! I submitted out of spite :-), and some wild, half-baked idea of vindication and justifying my efforts! Of course, I had to chase Sheila down to give her some heavy tickling and noogies. How dare she laugh at my genius! :-P Actually, she is probably right. But what the heck, we have to feed our update addiction, right?

So anyways, the concept is pretty straight forward I think. The title? well, I was too tired to think of anything better. Crazy Horse is my tattoo, Nessie is what I call that guitar, and me is me :-)

In ps- cropped, usm, screen layer and overlay layer with opacity dropped, hue/sat adj and dropped the sat way down on the red channel, selective color adj, cloned out a little spot in the lower left corner, levels, curves, resized and one more very light pass of usm.

So, thanks for checking out my pic, and for reading my silly little story :-)

ps.- pretty, pretty please, can I at least break 5 with this :-) That will show her!

Well if it is any consolation...I gave you a 7. I liked it.

I love the selective coloring on the guitar. The black background fits the image nicely. I also think the tattoo is cool - great cvontrast throughout the entire image.

A little odd, but interesting. The green and the tattoo really stand out.
