Greetings from the Critique Club!!
My first impression is very positive. I love this image for a few reasons.
I like that it is a beautiful silhouette, and yet at the same time I find it almost photo journalistic. The image is clearing telling us a story, it is obvious to the veiwer that it is a family of sorts on the boat, and a large city in the background.
Technically a great job. The rule of thirds is textbook here, and commands our attention. It is beautifully balanced. The tone is lovely, especially , for me in the background. And the DOF is perfect
The only problem I have with this shot is the colour of the water. It may be just a matter of personal taste, here. But for me there is something that just isn't quite magnificent enough to match the rest of the image.

Love the contrast of the water color against the gradations in the background. It's simple and peaceful. |
