 I wanted a picture of the sun for this challenge, because it is the roundest object known to mankind. But I also didn't want the same old shot, so while playing around I got this shot which makes the sun look like it is bleeding into the sky, but still holding its central roundness.

Hey, I wanted to thank everyone that commented on this picture. I wish that the people that didn't like this shot would have commented on why they didn't like it. I kinda felt like this was a 6 or a 7, but I am still happy with the placement for only my second submission.

Great picture. Sunrises and sunsets are some of my favorites these days. I like the use of the tree in your foreground.

It's a cool effect, really fun coloration. The tree bark (I think, it's hard to tell for certain) is a good contrast to the soft, smooth sky.....but I like detail over pretty colors (sorry, my bad). 6 Rob the Swash

Normally subjects aren't out of focus... but this is so neat. Once again proving there are exceptions to everything!
