the dark, moody, bizarre background creates a neat effect - very interesting. It gives the subject an intensity that would otherwise not be there.

The flower and butterfly are real nice, but what's up with that background? I can't even describe what I'm seeing. Again, I really like the main subject.

I'm curious, what processing you have done to get the background to be this way? Personally, I find it to be a little over-processed and bordering on digital art. JMO.

Good capture, interesting post-processing. Compositionally, I wish the butterfly was oriented differently: I don't like it pointing in the direction of the lower left corner.
