Mandy, I gave this a 9 during voting. It's always a pleasure to see a photo of you or yours during voting. I honestly have know idea why this scored a 5.2. You are one of the most inspiring photographers on this site IMHO. Keep your chin up girl YOU ROCK! |

Very nice.... The softness of the eyes give it a dream effect! BTW...I like it much better in color! |

Well. . .I LOVE the overall softness of the image. I think it is beautiful! I was shocked to see this with a 5.27 score. I've come to fear doing portraits for this crowd. . .they are BRUTAL unless you are a Librodo.

wish her eyes were a bit more in focus. the focus seems to be on the piece of hair in front of her eyes. |

eyes (maybe the focal point) are too out of focus. otherwise it had potential. |

Nice soft image. Wind-swept hair is always a cool look IMO. Great cropping and tonality. Only change - I would have liked the eyes to be just a little sharper - not oversharpened though, but just a little more to really make the beautiful colors in the eyes pop! Bumping up. |

Hi Mandy!
I guess this was one of the ones you were experimenting with on your new 20d (yay!). I think maybe if you'd added more fuzzyness in an action or something, maybe something akin to goth glow (I can tell you how to approximate if you dont have CS/CS2), and tried to sharpen the eyes a bit manually, you may have pulled this one off. For me, it just looks out of focus right now. Learning new equipment sucks, hope you get in your groove soon and turn out what I know you're capable of doing. I love the pose and the windblown hair though. Good luck! |

You definitely "have the eyes" in this shot. IMO, a tad bit sharper, and without the hand and it would have been perfect! |

I like the composition and the lighting for the most part, but it seems like the focus is on the strands of hair in front, which is unfortunate since the DOF is as shallow as it is. |

Beautiful pose, but ruined by being out of focus...the eyes should be in focus not the hair in front. |
