 Way back in another world and time, before the first Arab Oil Embargo when gas was less that $0.30 a gallon and I was still living at home and working full time, I would take long weekends in New York City. Stayed a nice hotel, bought tickets for shows and the Metropolitan Opera and did other things during the day. Didn't have a camera and did not take pictures then. I went to MOMA and saw some exhibitions there...rememmber seing Dali and such and a Photo Exhibition by Alfred Stieglits. It must have influenced me some how, ya think? I shot this from the 8th floor fire escape of my apartment building and it is mindful, though no where near as good as Stieglitz's 'From the Back-Window'.
Post: Open, Rotate Crop. Disortion Correction.
Layer adjustment: Hue/Sat: increase reds. Layer adjustments for levels & brightness and contrast. New Hue/sat layer to colorize Sepia. New Layers for levels and Brightness/contrast. Power Retouche Dynamic Range Compressor. Power Retouche Sharpen. Resize. USM. Felt it too light. Did another layers and hue sat...liked it a bit murkier.

Good use of duotones in this image. There is enough contrast in it that it makes everything stand out. Love the lights in the buildings and they really make this image pop!
