Lewis Hine was an amzing photojournalist in the early 1900's. The photographs that he captured were all stunning images of people at work and this is my feeble attempt to copy his style.

Amazing

Masters of Photography

I'm a bit unsure of the image, It is simply not sharp enough for DPC standards, but the noise is more the style of Hine. This could either bomb or rank in the middle of the challenge. the only thing I am sure of is that it shall not Ribbon. : )

Another one of those b&w images of yours that I felt had that little bit of extra. Yes it is soft, yes it has strange contrast, yes it is a bit noisy in the sky. But on the other hand, the whole of that yes yes yes in the previous sentence, it gives a special kind of ambiance and feel to it.

Yes it's a man at work but I dont get the heavy industrial feel that I think I should, in fact I get a feeling of isolation and remoteness from this shot. Sorry just my initial opinion and I'm no expert on Lewis Hine's full body of work.

I think this is a perfect take on Hine's imagery :) The horizon is aligned correctly and the subject is properly placed within ROTs. The contrast between the snow and the sky is absolute and I like it. Great job! 7

i liked the idea behind the man but you perhaps if you made the image a little more balnced with the background it would create more emphasis.

I like the darkened edge to compliment the bright lighting reflecting off the snow. The sky is amazing.
