you've tried to emulate an amazing photographer, and missed completely.. edward weston's pepper shots show amazing tonal range, this is totally flat. weston's images are extremely sexual in nature, and again, this gives nothing even slightly resembling sexual form.
i commend you for looking at the work of a great photographer, but using his name in your title is a bit insulting :p

I like the very dark stem and the smooth exterior of the pepper.

Edward Weston? The lighting looks a little flat in this image, good shot though.

Nice asymmetrical balance. the pepper isnt shot dead one and it creates a certain feature towards the image.

This is good.....

The focus seems to be a bit too shallow to show the texture of the pepper well.

There seems to be something in the white about the pepper that is distracting. I also believe the shadow is to harsh, perhaps if it was pulled away from the bacground a bit or adding a side light to lessen the shadow. Lacks a definitive sharpness. Good effort though!
