The colors don't work for me. Give me some blue or overcast sky as a background. The yellow overpowers the image.

Nice photo, but I don't think it fits the category of "non-domesticated mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians"

the pigeon almost looks painted in against that yellow background.. its an interesting shot.. wish there were more detail on the bird though

Heh - clever! I suspect you removed the bacground because it was busy, but the vibrant yellow is a bit too much. Still, the idea and capture is great!

I like the composition...and actually thought the pigeon was the statue's other ear. I find the yellow background a tad distracting - but what do i know?

Your actual subject - the bird - takes up a very very small portion of the photo. I don't understand (or like) the yellow background.

Background colour is too bright, it detracts from the subject. The pigeon is not very clear.
