| 8 - Nice color and capture. Criticism; difficult, as the 'darkness' adds to this image, but perhaps a tweaking of colors, not sure. A bit more definition (although good as is), but that may have required a different angle/perspective and this is obviously 'opportune' so who knows. Up to 8 from 7. |

| nice composition here and I love the light. Your exposure is spot on, with the disrectional lighting giving great detail to the texture of the feathers. Really top drawer image in my opinion |

| A 10. I love the shadowy, yet detail of this shot against the ominous background. It works very well, and being a lover of bird shots, I feel this one worthy of a 10. It is the only one I felt deserved it. |

| I feel like the fact that we can't see much of him (dark lower body, bill blocked by wings, looking at his back) detract from the image. I also feel that having him looking out of the frame draws the attention away from the center of the picture (and thus has this large area to the left that's basically dead space). |

| Lovely light and detail on the bird but it's pose, facing away like that, doesn't work so well for me, though I do appreciate that one can see the eye, which is important. Lovely colour in the sky too. |
