The focus seems soft, way to soft in my opinion to a point where the sharpness and glint in the eyes are lost. Maybe a tighter crop and an adjustment of levels as a suggestion, would help bring out this gem. |

I went to hulubei's site and looked at a lot of pictures. None were so intensely close up, nor did they have the distinctive fuzzy/washed-out look of your photo. |

Thanks for pointing me to his work - it's very nice. Your tribute shot has a bit of color noise but I like the composition. |

Good to see a modern photographer tribute. The idea behind this is really good but the overexposed forehead and softness reall don't appeal. |

An okay photograph but it didn't seem to follow his style (assuming I have the same person in the link). All of his people shots that I could see seemed to grab the whole face to get more context... |
