::: Greetings from Critique Club :::
Hi, as requested, here is an indepth critique of your submission.
First Impression - the most important one:
I don't wanna sound harsh, but simply put, you did not meet the challenge. It specifically called for people.
Composition:
Rather nice. The one bird on top of the pole is in a very strong area of the photo.
Subject:
Subject is clear.
Technical (Colour, focus, and light):
Focus is a bit soft, but this may be from post process or noise rather than missing the focus in camera.
Colour seems ok, a bit flat for my taste. I think this image would work well in B&W
Light is pretty good, exposure went well for you on this one.
To grow its vote?:
Pay more attention to the challenge guidelines, voters do.
Summary:
Lovely image, I like it a lot. But, in another challenge.
Hope to see more from you soon,

Nice work, I like the wintery feel to the shot with the tones you have captured |

Been there myself lots :)
Good luck anyway

The challenge description was very specific about singling out a person. Outside of the challenge parameters this is a good picture. |

The challenge details asked to single out a person using shallow DOF to isolate the subject. I just do not see that in this photo, otherwise I would have scored it higher |

No people nor crowds depicted here to be singled-out from by minimal depth of field. |

This could be a very nice shot, but I don't like the composition, with the lamp sticking out of the bench, the lamp being dead in the middle of the picture. Also, there is not one sharp object in the shot, and DOF isolation is not used. |

I don't get the feeling of one of the birds being "singled out" in this shot. Great shot but really, all the birds stand out fairly equal. |

Absolutely lovely image... wish it were in the Best of 2005 challenge instead of the Singled Out challenge as I would have voted it much higher there. |

Challenge details: ".....single-out a person in a crowd as your source of composition. Use minimal depth-of-field to your advantage to help isolate your subject....."
I see birds, no people. |

This is a fantastic shot ... My only issue is that there is no person, as requested in the challenge description. |
