Nice work Charmayne. It's funny in your comments you state that you had better candids but this one best met the Challenge. My thoughts exactly, when I entered my image...but the rules didn't seem to matter much in this one. 1st place while and awesome image didn't have any signs of a minimal dof. I took things kinda litterally and could have placed higher with a simple, cool, shallow candid. "...in the crowd" and the shallow dof was my standard which had to be met.

This is a great shot. The softness of the subject melds nicely with the overall light/white feeling of the picture (i.e., no bright colors or harsh lines/sharpening). Has a magazine appeal to it, nicely done - nice competition!

THe main subject is singled out, but, compositionally, this shot is not good. The out-of-focus objects don't add anything to the composition.
