Lovely shot. It doesn't seem very sharp where i expect it to be ... but this softness works in the black and white world. |

Just doesn't work for me on pretty much any level. I don't really understand the title.. the photo is busy.. there's no true focal point, and the B&W conversion is blotchy and uninteresting. |

I like the composition here. The parked bikes lead the eye nicely to the main bike by the bench. The high contrast treatment works well, although the background seems a bit flat. Maybe try a slight dodge and burn there? |

I kept bumping this up a bit, then down a bit, then up again, until I felt like I was taunting it. In the end, up. It is deceptively quiet and unassuming, but there is something poignant about the bicycle and the empty bench. Obviously the title provides a solution, but I do think the image succeeds in suggesting a satisfying general direction of meaning anyway. Both the camera and the post-processing work are subtle and understated, which just makes me admire it even more. I think it's an image that will last. Not immortal, perhaps, but certainly enduring. 9. |

some will criticize you for not having a focal point. you don't need a focal point. my gaze enjoyed moving all over your picture. Then I look at your title, and the lack of focal point comes to represent the lack of a lover, adding a whole new poignancy to the picture... though I think it was always there. |

I'm afraid I can't get over the title here. The way I look at a picture is this - first a quick glance at the image, barely more than a determination of basic composition and color use. and then I look at the title, and then back to the image, and try to relate them. Here I just can't figure out how the title relates to the image. What is the object of dedication? Is it the bicycle in the foreground? The bridge in the background? The whole scene? The photograph itself - or its contents? (5) |

the depth of focus is a bit strange - everything behind the railing seem to be an old poster. Plus the front is too busy and messy.
Still, it breathes "poetry" and "mystery" to me very well. |

Nice, emotive photo, shame about the slight background blur but otherwise this is nice if a little too busy. 7/10. |

I get the feeling there is deep emotional significance in this photo, based partly on the title of course, but unfortunately I find myself asking "what is dedicated to her" with no clear subject jumping out at me. Great mood in the photo though. |
