::: Greetings from Critique Club :::
Hi, as requested, here is an indepth critique of your submission.
First Impression - the most important one:
Very nice capture, well executed and fits the challenge well. Also, good B&W conversion.
Composition:
Composition is strong, uses the rule of thirds quite well.
Subject:
Subject is clear and well defined, but perhaps your title doesn't nail the subject in the same way as I see it. I see it more as the man looking straight ahead at what's in his path, while the kid is free to wander. Just my take.
Technical (Colour, focus, and light):
All your techincals are good. Focus is sharp. Exposure is dead-on. Good B&W treatment.
To grow its vote?:
On this challenge, I think the voters were expecting a bigger crowd. That's how I see they voted, but a 5.8 is a respectable score.
Summary:
Keep up this good work. You definitely know how to work your camera in public places now.
Hope to see more from you soon,
Leroy |

I love it when they glance at the camera and you manage to snap one before the moment goes away. Composition a little awkward but the image is engaging. |

DOF isolation is not used sufficiently in this shot. Also, the composition is not very good: there shot is a bit messy, e.g. the half-face of a woman in the foreground doesn't add anything to it. |

Hehe, good capture. Met the challenge perfectly and the bonus is the kid's wonderful expression |
