Agreed. A touch of USM and this would be perfect. Nice wide-angle shot. |

Nice Hyperfocal distance on an "apparently" dark, overcast day. Was the brightness "dialed back?" Impressive effect! |

very impressive.like that dark line around the buildings, gives it the feeling of a stage set somehow.the sharpness of the architecture contrasts beautifully with the soft sky. |

Very nice. I love the contrasty feel of this and the centered composition. The foreground pattern really draws you into the pyramid and the sky adds an ethereal feel to the whole thing. |

the grayscale here is very nice, and the over all image is very clean cut graphic and smooth, yet also very classic in a modern setting nice a top pic. |

Excellent B&W work. I think USM very lightly would perfect this, as I think it's currently slightly soft. |

I think the highlights could be a tad brighter and maybe the mid tone/shadows could be a tad darker but overall I like it. |

Good Dodge/Burn work. The sky looks a little soft for the rest of the picture though as if there was too much noise reduction. There is so much tecture and lines in the rest of the picture that some grains in the sky might have actually complimented. |

oh hell yes. this is fantastic. Not sure if Ed Clarke has been to Paris or not, but if he had - He'd take something great like this (e301 - one of my absolute favourites on DPC).
very well done.

I love the tone, it gives a slightly surreal twist to the old & new architecture. The silhouetted figures sprinkled throughout give it a ghostly feel. |

Stunning capture with the older style architecture mixed with the geometric modern. The leading line of the diamon pattern of the sidewalk mimics those on the pyramid. This is complex, yet not overly busy. The dark subjects are great too. Nice!! 8 |

Nice photoshop work. I am nevertheless a bit disatisfied with the asymetry of the road leading to the pyramid. Again some people would find this more interesting. I would have instead centered the frame on the right side of the path to use the difference of patterns That would also have de-centered the small pyramid from the large one. Nice anyway. |

Love the B&W in this photo for it helps attract the eye to focus on the shapes and textures of the scenery - not to mention it adds to the mood of quiet contemplative day. I like how the pathway is included into the composition for it is the visual path that draws the eye right to the pyramid. No only that the diamond shapes of that pathway compliment and mimic the shapes found in the glass pyramid of the Louvre. The buildings both to the right and left of the main subject help to frame it - the old world architecture juxtapositioned next to the new adds visual interest. |
